Chirped Module with VBG Compressor – CM-V

Samuel Gouin

Product Line Manager

indie developed the CM-V to deliver the highest possible performance for ultrafast lasers using Volume Bragg Grating (VBG) pulse compression. Ideal for rapid prototyping, the stretcher-compressor pair can be easily integrated into a Chirped Pulse Amplification (CPA) chain with minimal footprint. By leveraging the TPSR’s Group Delay (GD) tuning capability, the CM-V adapts to various amplifier types and compensates for non-linear effects within the CPA chain, all while maintaining agility in laser output parameters.

  • Our specialized expertise in FBG dispersion management ensures precise phase control, enabling the generation of clean, pedestal-free femtosecond pulses.
  • Each TPSR included in the CM-V is meticulously paired in-house with a specific Volume Bragg Grating (VBG) compressor, minimizing phase errors for optimal pulse compressibility.
  • Our flexible, user-friendly software simplifies the integration of the CM-V into any laser system design.
  • Offered in 2 standard configurations, the CM-V is an ideal solution for fast prototyping and assembly of custom ultrafast lasers.

Key Features and Benefits

Time-Saving:
indie has the facilities, skills, and resources to pair TPSR and VBG units far more efficiently than most end-users.

Robust:
The compact, all-fiber construction remains operational in changing environmental conditions.

Compact:
The CM-V is the most compact pulse stretcher & compressor pair in the industry.

Cost-Effective:
The composite design of the CM-V, combined with full electronic control, results in shorter cycle times, increased throughput, and lower operating costs.

Integrated:
Software integration between the CM-V and the laser system enables dynamic and precise pulse control and virtually eliminates hardware alignment and servicing.
