indie Semiconductor Awarded “Auto Sensor Innovation of the Year” by AutoTech Breakthrough

indie’s iND880xx camera video processor system-on-chip (SoC) family has been recognized as “Auto Sensor Innovation of the Year” by AutoTech Breakthrough Awards. The iND880xx SoC enhances vehicle safety, performance, and sets new industry benchmarks in Image Signal Processor (ISP) technology performance and functionality. Conducted by AutoTech Breakthrough, a leading market intelligence organization, AutoTech Breakthrough Awards recognize the top companies, technologies and products in the global automotive and transportation technology markets today.

“indie’s advanced image signal processing capabilities enable OEM’s to deploy high-performance vision-based sensing for environmental perception across a wide range of lighting conditions and driving environments. Our solutions are purpose-built to support the automotive industry’s trajectory towards increased vehicle safety and automation,” said Abhay Rai, indie’s chief product officer. “By addressing accelerating industry needs for enhanced safety, regulatory compliance, and cost-effective ADAS functionalities, we are enabling OEMs to deploy vision processing across their diverse vehicle portfolios.”

The mission of the annual AutoTech Breakthrough Awards program is to conduct the industry’s most comprehensive analysis and evaluation of automotive and transportation technology categories, including Autonomous Driving, Artificial Intelligence, Electric Vehicles, Engine Tech, Automotive Cybersecurity, Telematics, Sensor Technology, Fleet Management, Traffic Tech and many more. This year’s program attracted thousands of nominations from over 15 different countries throughout the world.

“indie Semiconductor’s iND880xx processors address critical challenges in the automotive industry and represent a monumental leap forward in automotive technology. Vision-based sensing is crucial for ADAS due to increasing government regulations, New Car Assessment Programs, and consumer expectations for vehicle safety. However, traditional vision processors have struggled to achieve low-light sensor performance with accurate color reproduction,” said Bryan Vaughn, Managing Director, AutoTech Breakthrough. “indie’s product not only exemplifies technological excellence but also effectively addresses critical industry challenges by enhancing vehicle safety, meeting stringent regulatory requirements, and delivering high-performance ADAS functionalities.”
