The radar front end TRAˍ240ˍ091 is an integrated transceiver circuit operating in 240 GHz band with on-chip antenna. This cascadable radar frontend combines a 240 GHz operating frequency with a bandwidth of up to 45 GHz and is assembled in a low-cost QFN package. The chip can operate as single channel transceiver with on-chip and off-chip VCO. It can also operate in an array with many chips synchronized. The chip covers worldwide 244 GHz – 246GHz ISM Band.
The primary application for the 240 GHz transceiver radar front end (RFE) are short range radar systems which require high range resolution like thickness measurement of non-conductive material, material analysis, imaging radars, in-line inspection systems and level metering sensors.
